A high-altitude resort in the Hautes-Alpes, Vars (2000m) enjoys good snow cover and plenty of sunshine. It boasts 185km of pistes in the La Forêt Blanche ski area and an exceptional setting at the gateway to the Ecrins massif.

The La Forêt Blanche ski area offers a 360° panoramic view of the larch forests. More than 185 kilometres of pistes and a highest point at 2750 metres await ski lovers. Did you know? For almost 30 years, Vars has been the temple of speed skiing. Every year, the world's fastest skiers come together to beat the clock.

And if you prefer to leave your skis behind, there are over 60km of groomed and signposted trails where you can enjoy a whole range of activities: snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, not forgetting the ice cave and its sculptures at 2200m altitude!
